About the event
This is a 5 week course. Please follow the link to sign-up and pay.
Each student can create as many projects as they want with the included 25 pounds of clay. Additional clay can be purchased from the studio.
Each student will be able to talk about clay in all its stages from bag to final glazed form. They will be able to make simple forms using proper techniques. They will understand the basic properties of clay and glazes. They will strive to create sets of each form to learn how to produce quality in craftsmanship. Attendance at each session is essential. There will be NO make-up sessions.
Supply List:
apron and/or large towel
Included:
15 hours of instruction
25 pound bag of clay
Glazes and firings
Use of basic throwing tools. (Sets can be purchased for $12 + tax)
5 additional hours of self-guided studio time per week during open studio hours.
**I strongly encourage everyone to come in as often as possible and practice the techniques we discuss in class. Practice is the path to successful throwing. There are no shortcuts.** Additional studio hours can be scheduled for $5 per hour.
Special Notes:
Attendance at each session is essential. There will be NO MAKE-UP sessions.
