Tuesdays 6-Week Slab Building for Adults

Service Description

Come and join this fun class creating with clay! In this class we will explore slab-building from the tools and equipment used to construction and decoration. You get to decide what you create and we help guide you to achieve your goal. The principles of glazing and firing will also be covered. This class is designed for the 16 and older crowd. Kids under 16 can take the 5-week hand-building classes we offer. Attendance at each session is required. There will be no make-up classes. Class schedule Tuesdays at 6:30-8:30 PM April 22, 29, May 6, 13, 20, 27 Class fee includes *25 pounds of clay and access to equipment, tools and firings. *Current members must provide their own clay Class Schedule Week 1: The Tools and Equipment Week 2: Going Vertical Week 3: Boxing Week 4: Adding Depth Week 5 and 6: Glaze It Up An instructor will provide step by step instructions on the process. You will decide what you want to create and no previous experience is needed. Week 5 and 6 we will glaze all your creations. Just show up with a great attitude and be ready to have fun. Come with your own ideas or look at our samples. Attendance at each session is required. There will be no make-up classes. 24 hour notice required to receive a full refund for cancellation.
